TETON RIDGE ENTERTAINMENT ACQUIRES SPEC SCRIPT ‘RIDING HURT’ FOR SEVEN FIGURES IN COMPETITIVE SITUATION

Teton Ridge will produce alongside Range Media Partners

February 27, 2025Teton Ridge Entertainment has acquired “Riding Hurt,” a spec script by Buck Bloomingdale, a new breakout writer bursting onto the scene.

The project is described as a high-octane heist film set in the adrenaline-fueled world of professional bull riding, based on an idea developed in partnership with Range Media Partners. Plot details are still being kept under wraps. The western-focused studio beat out several other interested buyers to make the deal.

Jillian Share (“Pacific Rim,” “Freaky Tales”) and Jen Gorton (“Den of Thieves 2,” “Arthur the King”) of Teton Ridge Entertainment are producing with Brian Kavanaugh-Jones (“Longlegs,” “The Monkey”) and Fred Berger (“A Complete Unknown,” “La La Land”) for Range.

Executive producers include Brandon Mattingly of Teton Ridge, and AJ Bourscheid and Will Iannaccone for Range.

Led by President Jillian Share, Teton Ridge Entertainment produces films and television series, both scripted and unscripted, that amplify various elements of the American West. It recently made waves in announcing the acquisition of the massive “Lonesome Dove” franchise, and is at work on several other western-focused projects.

Teton Ridge Entertainment’s parent company, Teton Ridge, owns The American Rodeo, Arizona Ridge Riders, a top-performing PBR team, and The Cowboy Channel, which it recently acquired to become the largest media rights owner with 600+ sanctioned PRCA rodeos. Teton Ridge is owned by TWG Global, a diversified holding company co-chaired by Mark Walter and Thomas Tull.

The deal for Teton Ridge Entertainment was negotiated by Michael Moskowitz. Bloomingdale is represented by CAA, Range and Jackoway Austen.

Founded in 2020, Range Media Partners is behind such films as “A Complete Unknown,” “The Bikeriders” and “The Monkey,” which just earned Neon’s second-highest opening ever, behind only the Range-produced “Longlegs.”
